Note : Let's get back to our old friend Frank Henenlotter and see what he's been up to, shall we? Well, this is the first of two sequels to his classic 1982 debut comedy body horror, and it's a doozy, more practical creature effects, more comedy, more of everything, really. I think I still prefer the original overall, but this is a lot of fun (we'll get to the third film at some point, and that one is pretty nuts).
Duane and his brother Belial, having survived their fall at the end of the first film, are rescued from the hospital by an elderly woman and her granddaughter, who maintain a sanctuary of sorts for freaks of all kind (and this is where the creature effects start to shine). However, some reporters are onto them, and everyone must join forces to protect the freaks' privacy.
This is a pretty ok looking remaster, nothing fantastic, but it's reasonably clean and sharp, grain is decent, sound is fine, but no extras, commentary tracks, or even subtitles.
