From Wiki:
Quote:
Blue Rodeo is a Canadian pop and country rock band, which was formed in 1984 in Toronto, Ontario. They have been signed with Warner Music Group since their debut album Outskirts in March 1987. Including Outskirts, they have 12 full-length releases along with multiple solo albums, side projects, and collaborations.
The band consists of original members Jim Cuddy (guitar/vocals), Greg Keelor (guitar/vocals) and Bazil Donovan (bass), plus newer additions of Glenn Milchem (drums), multi-instrumentalist Bob Egan (formerly of Wilco), and Bob Packwood (keyboardist). As of late 2008, Bob Packwood has since departed as a member of Blue Rodeo [1] Packwood was the replacement for James Gray, who left the band in 2005 after their release of Are You Ready.[2] Drummers Cleave Anderson and Mark French, keyboardist Bob Wiseman, and multi-instrumentalist Kim Deschamps are also former band members.
Cuddy and Keelor met in high school and became great friends. After university, when all their other friends were starting to get jobs, they decided to form a band and started to play music more often. They put together a few different bands without much luck. They released a single as Hi-Fi's in 1980. Cuddy and Keelor moved to New York City for some adventure and to help their music. There they met Bob Wiseman. When they came back to Toronto in the summer of '84 they thought about putting another band together. They had already thought of the name for the band before they met Cleave and asked him to join the band. Cleave brought along his friend, Donovan, and with this the band Blue Rodeo was born. [3]
Blue Rodeo is one of the most successful and well known contemporary Canadian bands, having released 11 full-length studio albums, three live recordings, one greatest hits package and five video/DVDs.[4] Their studio albums have sold over three million copies. Cuddy, Keelor, Donovan and Egan have all released solo albums, and Glenn Milchem performs his own solo music under the pseudonym "the swallows".
Blue Rodeo members have collaborated extensively with other notable Canadian artists, including Sarah McLachlan, The Tragically Hip, Burton Cummings, Great Big Sea, Jann Arden, The Sadies, Skydiggers, Crash Vegas, Cowboy Junkies, Sarah Harmer, Jill Barber, and Kathleen Edwards. They have won many Canadian music awards, including seven Juno Awards and seven SOCAN awards.
On June 16, 2009, it was announced that the band would receive a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in Toronto. The induction ceremony was held on September 12, 2009. They are the fifth band to receive the honour.

Five Days in July 1993
Five Days in July is a 1993 album by Blue Rodeo. It was keyboardist James Gray's first album with the band. The band's most commercially successful album, it has been certified six times platinum as of 2008.
The album was recorded on singer/guitarist Greg Keelor's farm in Southern Ontario in July 1992. While the band originally intended for the recordings to serve only as demos, they found that the songs had a warmth and spontaneity that warranted releasing the collection as an album. Guest musicians on the album include Sarah McLachlan, Colin Linden and Anne Bourne.
This album is supposed to be a tribute to the Harvest-era Neil Young sound. This is especially evident on the song "5 Days in May."[original research?]

Tremolo 1997
Tremolo is a 1997 album by Blue Rodeo.
On this album, the band attempted to maintain a more immediate vibe than on 1995's Nowhere to Here, which had been labelled as overly mannered by many critics[citation needed]. SOLO ALBUMS:
Jim Cuddy – All in Time 1998
Cuddy's All in Time confirms that the pop-and-country flavoring of the group is primarily due to him. While All in Time does not necessarily break any new musical ground for Cuddy, it does push his style forward with a set of 11 songs that, with a few exceptions, are at least the equal of the best of Rodeo -- not an easy feat and quite unexpected. "Second Son" is the opener and resembles the catchy pop nature of Rodeo's Casino. Tracks two and three, "Whistler" and "Disappointment," turn slightly darker, but are bouncy and catchy enough to keep fans delighted. "Too Many Hands" is where the album really kicks into gear. It's probably the strongest single track of the disc. Cuddy's voice has always been impressive, but here he seems to have it mastered. The delivery is easy-going and understated, but as listenable and powerful as his best ballads. Same goes, more or less, for "Slide Through Your Hands," "Everybody Cries" and "Making My Way To You," the last sounding something like Chris Isaak does on his last few albums. Not a clunker exists, and everyone will likely pick favorites.
Tracks:
Second Son
Whistler
Disappointment
Too Many Hand’s
New Years Eve
All in Time
Slide Through Your Hands
I’ll Make Believe It’s You
Trouble
Making My Way to You
Everybody Cries
Enjoy Blue Rodeo :)
