BOB MARGOLIN IN NORTH CALIFORNIA Label: Steady Rollin'
Format:Flac
Margolin was a backing musician for Muddy Waters from 1973 to 1980, performing with Waters and The Band in The Last Waltz. His nickname is "Steady Rollin'". As a solo recording artist, he has recorded albums for Alligator Records, Blind Pig, Telarc and his own Steady Rollin' record label.
The veteran blues guitarist and singer's home-recorded solo album features a variety of self-penned songs, such as the bleak "Just Before Dawn" and the pretty "Colleen", the latter an instrumental tribute to his recently deceased Border Collie, as well as accomplished interpretations of blues classics, including Muddy Waters' "Tell Me Why" (he was Waters' guitarist during the 1970s and early '80s), and Tampa Red's slide guitar tour de force, "Baby Baby Baby".
