Sebbene siano stati assieme per meno di 2 anni, i Buffalo Springfield, costituiti da Neil Young, Stephen Stills e Richie Furay, pubblicarono tre album degni di nota.
Accompagnati da un suono originale, frutto dalle influenze di rock, folk, blues e country, il gruppo era determinato a pianificare nei minimi dettagli la carriera e a non scenderre mai a compromessi; facendo ciò creò un repertorio di pezzi senza tempo.
I membri fondatori dei Buffalo Springfield Bruce Palmer (bassista) e Dewey Martin (batteria) misero insieme questa formazione stellare di musicisti di talento al fine di espandere la loro eredità.
