Notes:
I believe this video was originally shared by rideinthel on September 7, 2007. The original audio track for this video is of
lower quality (more hissy) than the off-air FM recording from fretz, which was first shared on January 28, 2005. I used the
FM recording to create a new audio track for the video. Unfortunately, the FM broadcast audio misses the Alan Black introduction and the last few minutes of The Scorch so I kept the original audio for those parts.
First, I converted the original DVD video files to an mkv file and extracted its audio track as a FLAC file with XMediaRecode. I also combined the FM audio files into a single track. I loaded both those audio files into Audacity. I resampled the FM
audio from 44.1 kHz to 48 kHz in Audacity.
The FM broadcast audio and the original video audio did not sync up all that well, so I had to make many fine adjustments to
the speed of the FM audio so that it synchronized. I made new speed adjustments on average every minute so that errors wouldn't add up. The discrepancy/fluctuations seemed to be the greatest during "Fighting Talk". I had to increase and decrease the speed at different points by about +-1.2%. At approximately 5:14 and 29:59 there are slight skips in the video, so I had to cut out a few seconds from the FM recording to match that.
I cross-faded the audio sources when the FM audio starts and stops, and I amplified both sources because they had low levels.
I exported the result as a FLAC file and made it the primary track for the mkv video using MKVToolNix. I also made labeled chapter points in the mkv video file. I kept the original audio track as an alternative. The video itself was untouched in this version and not re-encoded to perfectly preserve its original quality. This can be contrasted to the overruled version which involved re-encoding the video and slightly lost some quality in the process.

Secondary Audio: MP2, 384 kb/s (constant), 48 kHz, stereo
