Here is a collection of comics, magazines, articles and novels by the late great Dennis “Denny” O’Neil who sadly passed away on June 11, 2020. In commemoration of his life I thought I would pay tribute to his amazing work in comics by uploading a collection of his works. This is not everything that Mr O’Neil has written, but it’s pretty close.
Denny is mostly known for his work on Green Lantern, Batman and Azrael, but he also had stints on Superman, Wonder Woman, The Question, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Daredevil and many others. O’Neil created the characters Obadiah Stane (Iron Monger), Yuriko (Lady Deathstrike), Hydro-Man, Madame Web, Ra's al Ghul, Talia al Ghul, Azrael, Leslie Thompkins, Richard Dragon and Bronze Tiger to name just a few.
Dennis joined Marvel's editorial staff in 1980 and edited such titles as Daredevil, Alpha Flight, Power Man and Iron Fist, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and Moon Knight.
In 1986, he left Marvel for DC Comics, becoming the group editor for the Batman titles.
During his career O'Neil used the pseudonyms Sergius O'Shaugnessyles, Jim Dennis and Jeff Mundo.
While producing this collection I found out that while working for Marvel Denny helped write the original character concept for the Transformers, and came up with the name Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. Which I think is really cool.
I hope you enjoy this collection and please continue to seed.
