The Memory of Trees is an album by Irish musician Enya, released in 1995 (see 1995 in music). It won the Grammy Award for "Best New Age Album" of 1997. The album primarily combines New Age, celtic and pop music genres.[1] Its cover art was inspired by a painting called "The Young King of the Black Isles" by Maxfield Parrish, whose work has inspired many of her music videos as well. The album sold more than 9 million copies worldwide |
