Taylor Peters is een schrijver en producer van televisieseries. Hij gokt, drinkt
en gebruikt drugs, maar dat is nu "onder controle". Hij wedt alleen nog maar op
paardenraces. Als zijn vrouw er achter komt dat hij nog gokt, verlaat ze hem.
Om zijn vrouw terug te winnen, gaat Taylor naar Las Vegas om zijn 20-jarige
nichtje, die daar prostituee is en verslaafd is,
te zoeken en haar te laten rehabiliteren.

Once in Nevada, Taylor starts gambling in earnest using money loaned him by the casino.
