When we last saw Max Havoc, he was on a postcard-perfect beach in Guam, a supermodel hanging off one arm, a cold drink in the other. But one exotic locale and one gorgeous woman were never enough for Max, so now he’s off to… Seattle. Well that’s a touch less tropical, but at least he’s there for some ass-kicking extreme sports or something? What’s that? Fashion shoot with a women’s tennis champion? Huh. Guess there’s a reason there aren’t any more of these…
Yes, Maximilian Hierynomus Havoc is off to Seattle, a city that appears in the MLB playoffs about as often as Guam. He very quickly runs afoul of a hotel magnate played by former “Guy Who Stood Near Teri Hatcher” Dean Cain. Here at RiffTrax, we understand that “bulldozing an orphanage” is often used as shorthand to describe how big a villain someone is, but Dean Cain’s plan here is to literally bulldoze an orphanage. Helping him along is Karate Kid 3’s Martin Kove, who apparently loves to play wingman to cartoonishly evil rich guys with oh-so-punchable hairstyles.
Max must navigate the crime-infested streets of Seattle, tempting fate as he browses sinister farmer’s markets and endures tension-wracked brewpub happy hours in order to thwart the evil schemes. By the end, we’ve all learned a valuable lesson: that the Cash estate probably should have trademarked the phrase “Ring of Fire” to prevent crap like this from happening. Please join Mike, Kevin, and Bill for the second (and presumably final) chapter in the Max Havoc saga: Max Havoc: Ring of Fire.
