NAUTILUS (formerly Nautilus Quarterly) is an award-winning bimonthly science magazine that recognizes and celebrates the unity of science, philosophy, and the humanities, and seeks to transform our perspective on how science affects our lives. "Nautilus lets science spill over its usual borders. We are science, connected."
From the website: "Nautilus challenges the reader to consider the deep, mysterious connecting tissue that runs through the sciences and connects them to philosophy, culture, and art. It reminds us that we are all interested in the same narratives as human beings: Who are we, what is the world we find ourselves in, and where does meaning come from? Nautilus make subtexts, hidden meanings, and fundamental truths shine through narrative that challenges the usual boundaries in science media and education."
Since the magazine's launch in 2013, contributors have included prominent scientists and writer/journalists such as Philip Ball, Julian Barbour, Jim Davies, David Deutsch, Lisa Kaltenegger, Alan Lightman, Gary Marcus, Cormac McCarthy, Laura Mersini-Houghton, Leonard Mlodinow, George Musser, Martin Rees, Robert Sapolsky, Caleb Scharf, Ian Tattersall, Max Tegmark, and Carl Zimmer.
In 2019 the magazine was acquired by an ownership group of super-fans dedicated to continuing the mission of expanding scientific inquiry and its connection to the human spirit. It has attracted an audience of millions of readers and won over a dozen awards.
This is the only complete collection of NAUTILUS on the internet.
