Plot

Francesco Forgione (this is the real name of the saint) was born in Pietrelcina in 1887 and from a very early age demonstrated his approach to Jesus. Was ordained a priest in 1910 and in 1916 she entered the convent of San Giovanni Rotondo, becoming the point of reference of thousands of pilgrims to his reputation as a stigmatized.
The friar's life was a constant struggle against the temptations of the devil and in defense against the accusations of the Church.
All this did not affect the good faith and charisma of the friar, who continued to preach the love of the Lord for all his life. Among his works there was the "Casa Sollievo delle Sofferenze." Padre Pio was beatified in 1999 and canonized in 2002.
