Please note: A new version is coming on Thursday, October 5th with French and Spanish audio. It was just released 13 hours ago. If you plan to use English TrueHD audio, this version is recommended. The new version will use English OPUS 7.1 with a 40% higher video bitrate and 2GB higher file size. The tradeoffs between the two versions will be equal, to keep them both alive and healthy.
Description: Naru, a skilled warrior of the Comanche Nation, fights to protect her tribe against one of the first highly-evolved Predators to land on Earth. IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11866324/ Languages: English
Encoder Note: Total encoding time was 14h 5m on an i9-12900k. SVT-AV1 v1.7 Mode 4 was used, which is equivalent to Mode 3 on v1.6. The video stream was compressed from 42.5GB HEVC to 6.38GB AV1. Video compression ratio is 6.6 to 1. (4.4 to 1 after AV1 efficiencies). The bitrate of the video stream is 9.1Mbps in AV1. Playback testing was performed and the video quality exceeded expectations for being almost equivalent to the Bluray remux. Encode was stopped 2 hours in and restarted with a higher bitrate target. 65% of the file size is the video quality, 32% is the TrueHD audio track with lossless audio quality and 2% the OPUS 256kbps 5.1 audio track. The high-bitrate combined with TRUE-HD audio should give you movie theatre video and audio quality with your home setup. The reason for the reduced file is the bellow average movie length of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
MKVToolNix: This is free software you can use to remove audio tracks in my encodes. If file size is more important to you than audio quality, this encode can be reduced to 6.5GB by removing the TrueHD audio track. The lossless audio was included at the torrent community request. It is significantly higher quality than lossy compressed audio. At 4K resolutions, it is a smaller portion of the file size. The 165MB OPUS audio track is included as a substitute, which can be used to produce one of the lowest file sizes out there for 4K with the nix tool!
Distribution note: This movie will be distributed with a 16MB piece size for rapid seeding with fewer resources. Enjoy the fast download speeds. 4K content is harder to seed and not everyone has the upload speed for it. Please give back generously if you're able. Effective immediately, each IP Address is only allowed 1 connection to my seed box. I often seed multiple torrents. Simply keep the torrents running and they will be serviced one at a time. Avoidance of resource duplication significantly increases throughput.
UserHEVC screenshots are now JPEG tone mapped for rapid page loading speeds and more accurate video quality representation.
UserHEVC encodes AV1 movies. Razor high video quality. Reasonable file size.
UserHEVC recommends a 15.91GB x264 or 12.72GB HEVC, to match 9.53GB AV1 video and TrueHD audio quality.

“I encode videos to solve a problem, not to create one.” - UserHEVC
I started encoding videos to strive to do better. My Computer Science background helps to make better choices. File size is a problem, which is why video codecs (such as AVC, HEVC and AV1) compress bits of information. The choices we make to configure video codecs, impact us more than we know.
Please seed, it's a respect thing:

It's recommended to seed for at least a 1:1 ratio or 24 hours. Otherwise, the uploader's work goes to waste. The torrent will not propagate as effectively and there will be less seeders retained long term. If you have a slow connection – it's fine. Staying on the torrent for 24 hours has a tremendous impact!
Still think the file size is too high for 4K content? Here's an example of colour issues. These occur at smaller 4K file sizes. A good benchmark bit-rate for 2160p AV1 is 10Mbps
