"It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" is the debut studio album by American hard rock band Slash's
Snakepit, released in February 1995. The album was a decent commercial success, reaching
number 70 on the American Billboard 200 albums chart, and being certified Platinum by the
RIAA.
Snakepit was not formed as a "solo" venture for Slash, but rather as an outlet for songs
originally written for Guns N' Roses that Axl Rose rejected. While not quite up to par with
familiar GNR hits, this album does have its share of decent tunes. From the catchy riffs of
'I Hate Everybody (But You)' and the slide-guitar-based rockin' of 'Beggars & Hangers-On' to
the slow rock ballad 'Back And Forth Again, this album is full of the fiery licks that Slash
is known for.
Backed by GNR bandmates Gilby Clarke on rhythm guitar and Matt Sorum on drums, along with
Alice In Chains's bassist Mike Inez on a side venture and former Jellyfish lead guitarist
Eric Dover stepping up to the microphone for lead vocals, this is a solid, if not underrated
hard rock album.
Ripped and encoded to FLAC using EAC/AccurateRip by GKNByNW.
Please seed as much as you take.
