Blending musical elements of both old school metal and new style metal, the Snake Eyes Seven sound can best be described as vintage Black Sabbath blended with Tool laden rhythms, sonic guitars and go for the throat vocals.
The banded together in May of 2005 and began writing and rehearsing new material that would define the Snake Eyes Seven sound. It reminds me a lot of the 80′s hard rock/metal that I grew up with back in the day, except it’s not 80′s hard rock/metal, if that makes any sense. It’s a good, fresh sound.
The whole thing sounds hyper-energized. The songs are awesome and each stands on its own merits. From the powerful title track to numbers like, “Can’t Fall Down”, “David and Goliath”, “Freight Train” and “Hell Or High Water”. The slab of rock that Snake Eyes Seven serve up here is surely going to get your juices flowing. Daniel Narang’s vocal’s are raw and powerful. The range of emotions he manages to convey is truly stunning. While Cole Stevens’ guitar work is mind blowing.
