Description Super Meat BoyIs an indie computer platformer game developed by Team Meat, consisting of Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes. Released on October 20, 2010 for Xbox Live Arcade, October 30 for Windows via Steam, and on October 14 2011 for Linux as part of The Handle Indie Bundle # 4. It develops the mechanics behind Meat Boy, a flash game created by Edmund McMillen and Jonathan McEntee and released on Newgrounds. in October 2008. Super Meat Boy tells the story of Meat Boy rescuing his girlfriend, Patch Girl, from the sinister Fetal Doctor.
The player controls a small square, skinless character named Meat Boy, who must rescue his friend Bandage Girl from the hands of Dr. Fetus. The player needs to control the main character and use the ability to slide along the walls, guide him through the levels containing various traps, such as circular saws, needles and salt, and reach the Bandage Girl. The number of lives is not limited, and after death Meat Boy immediately appears at the beginning of the level. After passing the level, the player is shown a replay, which simultaneously displays the last 40 attempts to complete.
Most people value convenience above freedom and it's having an effect on GNU/Linux. We want to show in our way what we think about these proprietary platforms and that their DRM has no place on our operating system.
