The Tragically Hip - Phantom Acoustics 2020 3CD

PA 1 and 2 were originally compiled in 2000 and 2002. Since then I've obtained
better sources for some tracks, as well as enough new material to make a
volume 3. Songs from the old PA 1 and 2 have been remastered and shuffled around.
I also removed a few tracks I didn't think belonged, as well as adding some new ones
to the PA 1 and 2 mix. So even if you've heard the old compilations, the new ones
will have something fresh to offer.
PA 3 is all new (2020).
Special Thanks to the Hipbase.com for some of the great new material, as well as
Le Cheese for his art direction and song contributions. And of course, the tapers!
The back-cover picture is from The Hip's recording studio, The Bathouse, with a
display of the original "mysterious yellow device" (actually an airplane’s flight
line tester) used for the Phantom Power cover.
PA 1 and 2 remaster notes:
For those familiar with the original 2 compilations, here's whats new.
1) Many songs were touched up to improve overall sound quality, and some songs
were shuffled between volumes. Some upgraded sources were used as well.
2) Songs taken off are Wheat Kings (PA1) and Land (PA2).
3) For PA 1, the songs added are Yawning or Snarling, Wheat Kings and Boots or Hearts.
The CBC Swinging on a Star set has new intro's too.
For PA 2, Bobcaygeon and Fiddler's Green are new. Also the Bobcaygeon from the
Plant Studio's acoustic set was taken from a KFOG promo CD, and blended into the
FM mix.
