Plot
Tia Carrere stars in this made-for-cable melodrama as Dr. Vicki Westin, whose brilliance as a surgeon does not quite compensate for her coldness as a human being. Dr. Westin is forced to think outside of herself for the first time in her life when her husband (Richard Burgi) and daughter (Zoe Gaber) are kidnapped. Their abductor is Jeff Bender (Dale Midkiff), a grieving father who child had been one of Vicki's patients, and who had died on the operating table. The grimly vengeful Bender offers Dr. Westin a choice: She can save either her husband or her daughter, but not both--and she has only 48 hours to make her decision! Filmed on location in New Orleans

La dottoressa Vicki Westin cerca al meglio delle sue forze di salvare i propri pazienti, ma non sempre la medicina è sufficiente. Il padre di un uomo che Vicki ha avuto in cura, impazzito dal dolore, sceglie di vendicarsi su di lei - e indirettamente sul sistema sanitario nazionale - sequestrandole il marito e la figlia. A Vicki vengono concesse 48 ore di tempo per decidere chi tra i suoi cari potrà sopravvivere al rapimento: ma la dottoressa non è il tipo che si arrende facilmente, e infatti si lancia in una corsa contro il tempo per risalire all'identità del persecutore e fermarlo prima che metta in atto i suoi folli propositi...
